Franklin Academy Pembroke Pines Fieldtrip

By Sophia A.T. and Ania V.

Our MYP Year 3 students at Franklin Academy recently went to the Franklin Academy Pembroke Pines (K-12). At the High School, some of the students thought that the most interesting courses were the AP classes: Social Studies, Spanish, Language and Literature, World History, Macro Economics, Government, and Politics.

Students also thought that the most unique or different thing about the high school was that it is smaller than most schools in the county. Franklin Academy highschool also helps our community because it has many clubs and volunteer projects. Some volunteer projects are Hispanic Serving Institutions, Ivy League colleges, and military enlistment.

When asked what clubs and sports were offered, students mentioned: Tech, Key Club, Ecological, Art Club, Model UN and Photography Club and Soccer and Basketball. Some of the yearly activities for grades 6-12 are the Fall Festival, Winter Concert, and The Winter Show.
