You’ve heard of Veteran’s Day, but do you know what it really means? Veteran’s Day is a popular holiday celebrated on November 11. Veteran’s Day is made to celebrate people who have served in the Army, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard, Marine Corps, and Space Force. But you may be saying “My grandma is a veteran in cooking! And she did not go to any of those places!”, that’s not how it works. The word Veteran as defined in the dictionary says that Veterans are professionals in a specific field of skills. Although your grandma may be a professional at cooking, Veteran’s Day is meant to celebrate very important people who worked hard to defend our country!
Veteran’s Day is very special, especially to family members of the veterans who have passed away. This is because this day is meant to honor and appreciate the service these people put into their hearts to protect us. This holiday is also filled with festivals and celebrations, so don’t feel down! They have given us a very big favor, and in exchange, we will honor them and thank them!
Thank You!
